On Line Self Study Instructions

 

Step I: Click onto the topic you plan to study.

 

• Look over the list of topics and choose the topic you would like to study. Once a topic has been clicked you have committed to study that topic and cannot alter your choice. You will automatically be taken to the study material for the course you clicked.  Click on the "View Study Material" link to view the study material.

 

Step II: Study the material

 

• Plan for at least two hours of uninterrupted time to read and study the course curriculum. You can log out and come back to the course curriculum at your leisure.

Step III: Take the Quiz

 

• Click on the "Take Test" link and complete the examination by clicking onto your answers. Click the “submit quiz” button when the quiz is complete. You will see how many questions have been answered correctly.

 

Step IV: Print the Certificate

 

• The “Print Certificate” page will be enabled when 80% of the questions are answered correctly. Should the score fall below 80%, you will be prompted to revisit the material and retake the test. Each certificate will detail the name of the course and the core knowledge area and the date. You can save a copy of your certificate to your computer.

• When you are finished, please fill out the evaluation form by clicking “Evaluation” at the top of your account page. The evaluation is anonymous, and will not affect the receipt of your certificate. We appreciate any and all comments, which will help make your experience better.

Step V: Privacy & Security

• CCDS will provide privacy of information to all learners. Information will not be released without your permission. Multiple  security systems used to protect against identity theft is in place.
